Description
Poggio al Tufo is a 66-hectare estate in the south of Tuscany, owned by the Tommasi family, one of the world's foremost Amarone producers, founded in 1902. The wine is grown in the Rompicollo vineyard, which has southern exposure, volcanic soils and is densely-planted to 6,500 vines per hectare. This Sangiovese-Cabernet Sauvignon blend is well-balanced with good structure and flavours of berry fruit and spice. Very food friendly - try with grilled meats or robust pasta dishes.
