Tightrope makes two separate picks about a week apart, searching for maximum ripeness, although in 2019, this riesling is deliciously nervy, so perhaps maximum ripeness is off the table. The nose is clean and fresh, with notes of green apple, oranges, and wet stones. The palate is electric with citrus, mineral, pink grapefruit, and nectarine with a perfectly tart finish. Match with fish tacos, halibut with fruit salsa, lightly spiced sushi rolls, a favourite curry, and well, just about anything you can think about to eat. Well done.
