This is a rather rare blend of pinot noir (65%) and lesser known pinot meunier, a grape widely used in the production of Champagne. This looks deeply shaded in the bottle but pours quite pale and soft pink in the glass. The soft theme continues on the ripe, aromatic nose with strawberry/cherry jam, vague florals and some grapefruit. It is medium bodied, smooth and almost creamy with a warm dry, slightly peppery and grapefruity finish. Feels richer than its 12.7% alcohol suggests. The length is excellent.
