Tall Tale Wines was established in 2016 by siblings Kyle and Kirstin Lyons. Both having a similar passion for wine, they made the decision to start their own winery. Kirstin having a background in the financial industry takes care of the more mundane day to day administration and paperwork. Kyle has been working in wineries, both domestically and internationally, since 2004 in a variety of roles. While Kyle still works full time for another premium winery, he felt he needed a separate challenge and has taken on the role of winemaker. Their vision from day one, was to create unique wines that they themselves were curious about. The first vintage produced by Tall Tale Wines is not typical of anything else being made in the Okanagan. Kyle allowed his creative juices to flow and used grapes differently than his peers to create an offering that he is exceptionally proud of. Kyle and Kirstin are excited to share their wines with the public for the first time and they hope the public is as curious and eager to go on this journey with them.
