Tahbilk 2019 Viognier 750ml

Viognier originated in Condrieu in France’s Northern Rhone Valley with Tahbilk’s first plantings occuring in 1990. The inaugural 1996 vintage was released to early acclaim with the Estate at the time nominated by Australian Vignerons as producing one of the ‘Benchmark Six’ Australian Viognier releases. True to this heritage, our 2019 Viognier is delightful from the time its intense and fragrant rose petal and ginger spice bouquets are revealed on the nose, through to its softly textured palate of apricot, peach, honeydew melon and citrus characters that are all lifted by a deliciously zesty acidity on the finish. Benchmark this one as deliciously enjoyable with a curry-citrus cauliflower soup, seared scallops and crispy shallots.
