We have been recognising Francois Coueslant, Tahbilk’s innovative winemaker and manager from 1877 to 1886, and his impact on the Estate’s early ‘Golden Age’ for a number of vintages now across our prestige sparkling range. This latest limited release sparkling Marsanne is a more than worthy tribute and one we believe Francois would happily have his name associated with.

Offering penetrating lemon citrus fruits, with honeysuckle and tropical characters; alongside some bready notes from time on yeast lees, the finished package is underscored by a delightful minerality true to its Estate varietal sourcing. Thoroughly enjoyable across this year’s festive season and beyond with yum cha or freshly shucked oysters or cellar for another 6 to 8 years for added complexity to develop.
