Tasted at the 150th anniversary vertical at St. John. This is showing very well on the nose, intense ripe dark berried fruit, a hint of anis, sea salt and just a faint tang of Seville orange marmalade and it just blossoms in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with dense, slightly chewy tannins, very well balanced and poised, touches of damson and boysenberry with good flesh on the structured finish. Great length. Excellent. Drink 2015-2035. Tasted May 2010.
