Situated on the eastern slope looking down on Penticton this vineyard has two distinct blocks of Riesling.
This wine hails from the highest elevation block on an extremely steep slope of gravel and clay layered over fractured bedrock and rotten granite. Owners Wilbert and Joka Borren put tremendous care into establishing this special block and this wine shows the great potential.
Caramel, brown sugar, pie apple and burnt orange open up to grilled pineapple and an effortless lengthy finish of dried apricot and sweet tobacco. Semi-sweet but somehow not.
