The 2014 Chablis 1Er Cru Cote de Lechet saw ten months in stainless steel. It has a straightforward, granite and oyster shell scented bouquet. The palate is nicely balanced with sour lemon and orange zest, a little leesy in style. It has a touch of quince on the refined finish that just needs more mineralité to come through. Not bad overall, however, and I suspect it will improve in bottle.
