Swartland 2011 Idelia Cape Blend 750ml

Idelia is a soft, multi-dimensional wine with layers of fruit, berries, coffee and vanilla flavours. It is evocative of all that is bold and ripe, yet with an underlying softness. Well-integrated oak complements the palate. This limited release Cape Blend is a true collector's item with a lot of potential and can be aged for another 3-5 years.

APPEARANCE
An intense wine, brick red with orange rim gives an indication of an older wine. Clear and bright.

NOSE
A complex and forthcoming nose with earthy aromas of forest floor, lively black berry fruit, sweet scented violets and wine gums.

PALATE
This is a complex wine with sweet scented flower aromas, spices and vanilla backed by lively berry fruit. A full, rich and voluptuous wine with firm, but well-integrated tannins, beautiful oak integration and an excellent balance between fruit, tannin and wood. Long aftertaste. Drink now.
