From over 60-year-old vines around the estate in Leiwen (on sediment and unweathered blue slate), the 2016 Mosel Riesling displays very clear and stunningly intense fruit on the nose, revealing lovely freshness. Full-bodied and juicy, with nice freshness and remarkable finesse, this is a super balanced, very accessible and elegant Riesling at 11.5% alcohol. The finish is pretty crystalline and elegant, leaving the palate with a salty-piquant taste. Tasted in March 2018 from AP 27 17.
