In other marketing hands there might have been the urge to call this syrah, such is the elegance and fine detail in the '20. But these vinous characters are also true of shiraz, too. In the glass, it is all cool-climate Aussie shiraz: laden with spice, blue and black fruits, a touch of peppery lift and bitter herbal savouriness and supple tannins that first helps glide and then smack the lips as it nears the finish.
