Chocolate and wine? What better way to shed the winter blues and get ready for spring! This class is the perfect gift, either for yourself, a friend, or for someone you love! Join our in-house Sommelier, Pam Cohen, along with her friend and chocolatier, Anya Keefe, as they guide participants through an exploration of the history and many faces of chocolate, and a selection of chocolates and wines. Anya Keefe is a formally trained chef and chocolatier who also works in public health policy and research. For the past 12 years, she has created unique tasting experiences (for pastry students, young children and the young-at-heart) to reveal her ‘dark’ side and to share her love of fine chocolate. In addition, she produces a line of small-batch truffles under the name of Karmei Chocolates. Flavours are seasonally inspired, often playful and change monthly. Karmei is an anagram of "meraki", a Greek word that means to do something with soul, creativity, or love – it is the essence of yourself that you put into your work. Now who could resist that?
