Did you know? In 1875 Don Luis Pereira arrived in Chile bearing vinestocks from Bordeaux, France. From this point on, Luis and his wife's love affair with winemaking began. Incredibly, some of the oldest vines from the original rootstocks are still bearing fruit today. We credit this to Chile's natural geographic protection from the phylloxera epidemic that so ravaged vineyards in France and California. Santa Carolina has been named 2015 New World Winery of the Year by Wine Enthusiast and has won numerous awards.
This wine is pale lemon with greenish tints. On the nose, expect aromas of mint, melon, and pineapple along with refreshing citrus notes. The palate is soft and juicy with medium body and balanced acidity. Try pairing with fish, salads, or mildly spiced chicken dishes.
