This week the quest ends for unoaked "chardy" fans. The Saltram Maker's Table is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes from the Barossa Valley, which is actually a longish plain that sits 200m above sea level. This area receives only about 160mm of rain during the growing season and has low humidity.
In the glass, this wine sparkles in vibrant lemon-green tints and lush aromas of melon, peach, and hints of buttery malolactic fermentation. On the palate, this wine is crisp and fresh with flavours of zesty white peach. Try with chicken Caesar salad, calamari, or on its own.
