Description
The grape variety Fiano originates from the province of Avellino in the Campania region east of Naples, Italy. It is now an emerging Barossa variety well suited to the region. In its youth Fiano is often intensely flavoured and aromatic with notes of honey and spice. It has the potential to continue improving with bottle age, developing more spice and nutty flavours. The 2012 Winemaker's Selection Fiano exhibits notes of lemongrass and lime with a touch of spice, the palate is generously textured with a slatey mineral finish. Its a great match with food.
