Have you tried Pinot Noir from the Loire lately? Although the region is known for its high-end Sauvignon Blancs, there exist some excellent lighter red grape vineyards. The Saget Family sources the fruit mostly from their estate vineyards in Touraine, with some arriving from long-term growers in the South of France, therefore earning the Vin de France designation. Typical Pinot Noir aromas on the nose with hints of soft vanilla. Fuller on the palate with lots of fruit, a bit of camphor, and lengthy finish. Highly recommended at this price.
