The 2017 Chianti Classico is such an appealing wine. Sage, mint, sweet tobacco, cedar and licorice add aromatic complexity to a core of sweet macerated cherry. The 2017 captures all the natural radiance and richness of Panzano, and retains a striking sense of translucence. This is one of the very best wines I have tasted from Renzo Marinai in some time. Impressive.
