
Dense and brilliant purple. Nose of red fruits and cherries. On the palate, blackberry and blackcurrant flavors. Soft and fine tannins. Pair with meat dishes in sauce, spicy dishes, game, and salmon.
The name of the wine evokes the traditional culture of mountain vines on terraces. The vineyards are located at over 550m altitude on Mount Forca Real. Soil dominated by shale. Manual harvest in small crates, followed by sorting on the table to keep only the best grapes. Vinification: 100% destemming, maceration and fermentation in vats with frequent pumping over in the first days: 6 months of aging in the vat, light filtration and bottling with minimal addition of sulphites.
