Description
Here's a treat from Argentina's Valle de Cafayate, which is located in the northern Salta region. Felix Lavaque and his family discovered the region in 1886 and purchased the land in order to plant three traditionally French varieties: Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and Tannat. The vineyards, which are located almost two kilometers above sea level, produce ripe grapes and seductive wines. Fruity aromas of plum, violet, and spice. Medium-bodied on the palate with nice round tannins. Balanced acidity and good length. This wine is unoaked and has undergone malolactic fermentation. Alcohol is a very reasonable 13.5%.
