Phantom Creek 2020 Riesling 750ml

Master of Wine Olivier Humbrecht, of Alsace’s illustrious Domaine Humbrecht, oversees the whites at this ambitious new winery. As with Humbrecht’s own wines, the Riesling ferments naturally with indigenous yeasts. The 2018 took six months to reach dryness and went through malolactic fermentation. Attractive honeysuckle, peach and honeyed aromas ooze from this generosity fruited, luxuriously textured wine. Appetising acidity keeps it poised, while notes of stony minerals, beeswax, quince and apricot lend further interest and linger persistently. Drink now-2026
