The 2018 Riesling is unoaked and comes in with 3.2 grams of residual sugar, 6.3 of total acidity and 13.2% alcohol. Overall, this is fully dry, but nowhere near steely. In fact, the first and last impression concerns the fruit and its exuberance. It's lively and juicy, quite delicious on the finish. There's a bit of grip and tension too, but this is surprisingly fruit-driven. It is also rather classic in flavors and aromatics. I'm not sure how this will age, and structure does not seem to be its strongest suit. It needs to age well to justify my current enthusiasm, but it seems so young now that it shouldn't have a problem at least holding for most of this decade. It's hard not to lean up on this right now, but it still has something to prove.
