Paul Mas 2014 Clos des Mures 750ml

Jean-Claude Mas is a premium winemaker in the Languedoc region of Southern France. He took over the centuries-old winery in 2000. Since then, Mas has focused on using only top-end fruit to craft wines with a modern, New World style.

This wine is a delicious combination of 83% Syrah, 12% Grenache, and 5% Mourvedre. Some of these grapes are from 40+ year old vines in vineyards that benefit from hot summer days and the cooling sea breeze.

Expect aromas of black fruits, violets, and raspberries with hints of chocolate and spice. Full of fruitiness on the palate, this wine conjures up flavours of liquorice, toasted notes, and features a long, well-balanced finish.
