Marquis Tasting Note:
This is a unique white wine that we are so pleased to include. I would be willing to bet that it is the only varietal representation in BC! Zibibbo is also known as Muscat di Alessandria and derived from the Arabic name zabib, which refers to drying/raisin. This is fitting considering its original and most common application was for the production of Marsala, the sweet specialty of the West. It is now emerging as a dry varietal or blending component. The suggested pairing from the winery was Oysters. In addition to its floral and spice elements, there are loads of refreshing citrus notes with some briny undertones.
