Ottoventi 2013 Nero d'Avola "Punto 20" 750ml

Nero d’Avola is also an ancient Sicilian variey. The Punto 20 vineyard is located in the municipality of Valderice with wines fermented in stainless steel followed by eight months of maturation in French Oak barrels. There is some noticeable purple colour in this wine with aromas and flavours of dark cherries and berries, smoke, tar, as well as savoury elements including molasses and olives. This wine made me hungry for salumi, risotto and pasta with light meat or vegetable sauce.
