Otronia 2020 45° Rugientes Merlot 750ml

The 2020 Merlot 45 Rugientes from Sarmiento, Chubut was aged for two years in foudres and is ruby red in the glass. The nose presents fresh blackcurrant, sour cherry, mellow spice notes, black tea, hazelnut and rose. A linear, medium-bodied wine with good tension and a velvety texture, the finely grained, grippy tannins make for a long, fruity finish. The 2020 has a kind of profile that will improve in the bottle.
