Description
Some wines carry a deep message, and this is one of them. Yes, it’s gorgeous to drink, but there’s much more to it. It’s designed by Jill Spoor, a smart and feisty dame who directs the wine program at the Fairmont Pacific Rim’s Botanist Restaurant, along with her team of three awesome female sommeliers. Jill’s wine is Okanagan Crush Pad’s Campus Wine Project #7, a groundbreaking mentoring initiative that allows sommeliers to make small lot wines. There are just 97 cases of the Jill Spoor White Terroir Blend, and Marquis Wine Cellars is one of the few privileged retailers for this aromatic beauty. Best of all, proceeds are given to the B.C. Hospitality Foundation for wine education scholarships.
This blend of Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris and Sauvignon Blanc is a pure expression of what the Okanagan does best. Juicy green melon with entrancing high-notes of newly cut grass, fresh thyme and sage. A rounded mouth feel on the mid-palate gives way to a refreshing, zippy lime finish. Assembled specially by Jill Spoor, Matt Dumayne, David Scholefield, and world-renowned terroir expert, Dr. Pedro Parra.
