Description
The 2017 Philip Shiraz, released in 2021, marks 100 years for Mount Pleasant, which was established in 1921. The wine is classic Hunter: lightly framed, bloody and intense, without being heavy or weighty. The explosion of flavor in the mouth speaks of salted pomegranate, ferrous and raspberry licorice. It has a sweet/savory balance and a skein of fine tannins through the mix. All good things.
