This is a seriously interesting wine. Story of the vines aside, the wine in the glass screams character and quality. It's medium weight but it leaves a deep impression. Sprays of twiggy tannin, rushes of boysenberry and black cherry, both a sweetness and a sourness, and an entrancing earthen-pepperiness. It's a wine of both individuality and length. It would make a champion choice for any cellar.
