Morey Coffinet 2018 Puligny Montrachet "Les Pucelles" 1er Cru 750ml

A subtle whiff of wood toast sets off pretty aromas of honeysuckle, essence of poached pear and citrus confit. The highly energetic and seductively textured flavors are, like several of the wines in the range, not especially dense but the sophistication of the mouthfeel is impressive and very Puligny in style while the bitter lemon-inflected finish is bracing and inviting. In sum, this is notably finer than the Blanchots but can't match its depth and overall completeness.
