Monteraponi 2015 Chianti Classico Riserva "Il Campitello" 750ml

The 2015 Chianti Classico Riserva Il Campitello does a great job of matching vintage to growing site. You get those plump red fruit flavors from the warm vintage contrasted against the crisp acidity and brightness that are characteristics of Radda in Chianti. This is a wine of dimension and depth. It offers a clean, linear or etched quality of fruit with wild cherry and rose hip at the front. Spontaneous fermentation with ambient yeasts occurs in cement vats followed by 26 months in botte grande. Fruit is sourced from a 46-year-old vineyard, and the blend is 90% Sangiovese, 8% Canaiolo and 2% Colorino. Drink: 2019-2030
