Light yellow. Deeply pitched orchard and pit fruit aromas are brightened by ginger, white flowers and orange zest. The palate offers fleshy poached pear and honey flavors braced by gentle acidity and a touch of ginger. Smoky, toasty and broad on the finish, which shows good depth and power. In a weighty style, with the heft to work with rich, buttery dishes or strong blue or washed rind cheeses.
Light straw color. Very attractive nose is subtle but quite compelling. It’s crisp, clean, and fresh, recalling lemon pie filling and fresh linen. Follows through beautifully in the mouth with many attributes: elegance, intensity, power, and perfect balance. This Champagne also has excellent acidity and a nice chewy texture. We really love the nectarine and apricot flavors here, particularly in the long, consistent, pleasure-filled finish.
