Luke Lambert 2019 Crudo Chardonnay 750ml

Crudo is Luke Lambert's 'entry' level wines, but by no means does that make them simple. This comes of the Denton Block's granitic sandy soils, and was whole bunch pressed (no skin contact in 2019) and native fermented in older oak, with full MLF, resting in old 2000L foudre, minimal sulphur at bottling, and no fining or filtration. Classic cool climate Yarra, with crystalline lemon, and grapefruit tightening a gently plump white peach and light quince palate, all threaded with a streaming river stone minerality. The finish is super moreish with shimmering salinity. Ideal drinking now.
