Loimer 2013 Gumpoldskirchen Pinot Noir 750ml

From the Thermenregion, but designated as Niederösterreich, the 2013 Pinot Noir Gumpoldskirchen opens with a clear and attractive sweet cherry and plum-juice aroma; these aromas are intertwined with some earthy/vegetable aromas on the nose, which indicates the warmer climate of the region - located straight south of Vienna. Full-bodied, fresh, firm, very pure and slightly drying, this Pinot Noir is a bit austere at the moment, but it does have good intensity. Very firm and fresh, but with very good aging potential.
