Just a few kilometers outside of Châteauneuf-du-Pape Village exists an uninterrupted 20 hectare stretch of vineyards named les Combes d'Arnevels. This lieu-dit, surrounded by hectares of forest, is owned by the Quiot family, who has shepherded this old hunting ground since 1864. A bouquet of red berries on the nose, including redcurrant and raspberry gives way to its smooth palate with silky tannins and a lengthy finish. Accompanies red meat, lamb Provencal-style, vegetarian dishes, and cheeses. Act fast, because this won't last.
