Inspiracion 2012 Maturana Balcon de Pilatos Red 750ml

Deep ruby. Dark berries and pungent herbs on the highly perfumed nose. Fleshy and broad, with very good depth and sneaky notes of licorice and cracked pepper. A sweet vanilla note emerges with air and carries through a long, smooth, gently tannic finish. Maturana is a variety that's native to Rioja but almost extinct now.
