Black cherry figures prominently both on the nose and palate, with hints of leather, white pepper and earthy notes. The palate evolves to aromas of chocolate covered raisins, dried stone fruit, and a moderate pepper heat on the finish. A balanced wine with moderate tannins, that’s ideal paired with prime rib, steak, aged cheddar and blue cheese.
