"Believed to be Petite Sirah, Zinfandel, Syrah, Grenache, Mouverde and other red and white varietals. The century-old vines are planted in a field blend style with various Rhone varietal and Zinfandel vines interspersed throughout the vineyard blocks. The grapes are harvested at the same time and processed in a co-fermentation style with everyone jumping into the pool at the same time. The resulting product is a wonderful old-world, field blend style wine. Extracted and aromatic with well structured tannins, our 2009 vintage is a medium-bodied mouthful of dark chocolate, ripe plums and cassis with hints of vanilla extract, molasses and toasted tobacco." - Winemaker's Notes
