French Door 2021/22 Rose 750ml

A Provence-style Rosé made with Grenache and Mourvèdre. Delicate scents of pear, mandarin and apple. Clean and smooth flavours of grapefruit and grenadine on the palate.

Tasting Notes
The juicy, ruby, red grapefruit flavours lay a foundation for grenadine, red licorice, red plum and red lifesaver notes to play. The acidity brings this Rosé to life, making it crisp enough that you want to take another sip, again and again.

Vineyard Notes
Osoyoos is expanding the variety of grapes grown in the region, and Mourvèdre and Grenache are being planted more and more. Stay tuned because in 2022 we are planting more Grenache and Mourvèdre on the Estate Vineyard!

Production Notes
After being picked, the fruit was co-pressed directly so it retained a small amount of colour, but no harsh phenolics or tannins from the skins. It was separated into two tanks - both inoculated with a different yeast to build complexity in the wine. The fermentation was long and kept constant at 19 degrees Celsius to retain aromatics. The wine was left on solids until bottling undisturbed.
