From a classic vintage, the Feudi di San Gregorio 2016 Taurasi is a beautifully concentrated and shapely wine that is soft and generous in the right places but structured and firm in others. The wine offers a deeply layered bouquet with black cherry, plum and dried cassis. You will also encounter tarry smoke and campfire ash. This is a polished and nicely assembled expression of the mighty Aglianico grape.
