Chiantis are prized for their food friendliness, especially with saucey meals and certain types of cheese. This 90% Sangiovese and 10% Merlot Chianti is harvested by hand and fermented in stainless steel. On the nose, aromas of cherry, and red berry dominate. Lots of juicy fruit on the palate. This wine is balanced with moderate tannins and a crisp freshness. Silky and straightforward on the finish. Terrific price for a DOCG Chianti that is perfect alongside pizzas and pastas.
