Faiveley 2017 Nuits St. Georges "Aux Chaignots" 1er Cru 750ml

Bright medium red. Highly nuanced nose offers aromas of cherry, sandalwood, minerals, blood orange and flowers, plus a hint of reduction that quickly dissipated. At once silky and sappy, with tangy red fruit and licorice flavors framed and extended by underlying minerality. Sweet, generous and long on the ripely tannic finish. A lovely showing, but there's more ahead for patient collectors.
