Beautifully rich with hints of violet and blackberry. Medium body with a touch of chocolate and vanilla. To keep the small but vibrant group of Merlot lovers happy, I have once again chosen to bottle a small number of cases of Merlot on its own. this year the Merlot bottling comes exclusively from the Fairview Estate vineyard. The flavours associated with the Golden Mile Bench Merlot were used as scientific proof that the Bench is unique enough to have its own Sub-appellation.
