A mild whiff of reduction slightly mutes the appeal of the otherwise pretty red berry, briar and soft spice scents. I very much like the mouth feel of the delicious, energetic and well-detailed medium-bodied flavors that also flash good power on the balanced, complex and ever-so-slightly rustic finish. This is certainly good and offers plenty of character but I would not describe it as refined. Note that this too definitely needs at least a few years of cellaring.
