Evesham Wood 2014 Pinot Noir "Le Puits Sec" 750ml

A cool, restrained and almost grudging nose only reluctantly gives up its beautifully complex aromas of briar, dark currant, earth and cool dried herbal wisps. The sleekly muscular middle weight flavors possess impressive vibrancy along with fine mid-palate density that brims with sappy dry extract which also serves to buffer the firm and serious but phenolically mature tannins shaping the strikingly long finish. This is bold, robust and powerful yet it's not top heavy or rustic. With that said, it is not a candidate for early consumption, indeed this will need every bit of a decade to arrive at its full peak. Terrific.
