The 2016 Pinot Gris is redolent of spices—anise, nutmeg and powdered ginger—with a core of baked apples and melon plus a waft of white pepper. The medium to full-bodied palate has a pleasant oiliness to the texture, with mouth-filling melon and spice flavors and plenty of freshness to the finish.
