this is a full bodied, richly spiced wine with blackberry and chocolate notes, intense cherry and bramble fruit flavours, along with a delicious richly textured palate. The vineyards are on average over 40 years old, and many date back to pre phyloxera. The Syrah adds a delicious peppery note making this great with red meats, stews, beef or lamb, and even hard cheeses such as parmesan.
