Dark red. Musky, earthy scents of redcurrant, red plum, wild herbs and black pepper, plus hints of licorice and woodsmoke. Dark raspberry, licorice and pepper flavors show good density and sweetness for the price range. Smooth framing tannins won't get in the way of enjoying this spicy, peppery blend right now. A very good value, and not short.
