Domaine Confuron-Cotetidot 2011 Gevrey Chambertin "Lavaut St. Jacques" 1er Cru 750ml
The terroir really sings here and the voice of the winemaker (in the shape of 100% stems) can be heard too. Minerally, smoky, refreshing and cool, the wines from Lavaux/Lavaut are some of my...
Domaine des Lambrays 2016/2017 Clos de Lambrays Grand Cru 750ml
An overtly floral suffused nose offers up ripe aromas of red currant, rose petal, plum and a hint of exotic spice. There is first-rate punch to the bigger and richer yet still well-defined medium...
Camille Giroud 2017 Chambertin Grand Cru 750ml
The 2017 Chambertin Grand Cru is a powerful, wonderfully complete wine that shows the breadth and pedigree that are such signatures of this site. Sweet red cherry, pomegranate, blood orange, spice...
Domaine Humbert Freres 2016 Gevrey Chambertin "Poissenot" 1er Cru 750ml

Gaja 2014 Sperss Barolo 750ml
This is a slightly more subdued vintage of this legendary wine, albeit just as sophisticated as past editions. The 2014 Barolo Sperss opens to gorgeous aromas of dark fruit, wet earth and white...
Domaine Confuron-Cotetidot 2016 Nuits St. Georges "Vigne Rondes" 1er Cru 750ml
Bright red-ruby. Restrained aromas of currant, raspberry, smoke and spices. Pure but very tight and discreet, and yet this wine is clearly more pliant and ripe than the Lavaut Saint-Jacques (it...
Liger-Belair 2014 Charmes Chambertin "Aux Charmes" 750ml
(40% vendange entier): Palish bright medium red. Inviting soil-driven scents of redcurrant, dried flowers, mocha and earth, plus a whiff of smoked meat. Then almost surprisingly tight in the mouth,...
Description
"Tasting Griotte-Chambertin is always cause for reflexion: the aromas are complex and subtle, with hints of cherry liqueur, preserved cherry, fine leather, nutmeg. When the wine matures, there are hints of truffle and venison. The flavours are also arresting in their own way and the tannins, although present, are never aggressive or coarse. Long and persistent on the palate, with a glorious aftertaste".
