The 2013 Morgon la Voûte Saint-Vincent was cropped at 31 hectoliters per hectare and underwent a 12-day cuvaison in cement, where the wine was matured for 10 months. It has an expressive bouquet with crushed strawberry and red currant scents, a nuanced "patisserie" scent that is very attractive. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin. This is a impressive grip to this Morgon, the acidity slicing through the supple red cherry and strawberry fruit, with just a dash of spice toward the finish. This is an excellent Morgon full of vitality and joie-de-vivre, one with the substance to suggest that it will give a decade of pleasure if so inclined.
