Domaine Humbert Freres 2018 Gevrey Chambertin "Poissenot" 1er Cru 750ml

A subtle touch of wood sets off the spice and sauvage-inflected dark berry fruit aromas trimmed in a hint of dried leaf. The relatively fine medium-bodied flavors possess both good intensity and minerality while delivering sneaky good length on the linear and youthfully austere if somewhat grippy finale. This is certainly pretty enough but the balance isn't completely dialed in.
